Paddle for Promise 2019

June 22, 2019

WHAT

This year, Bruce, UPI staff and friends will be paddling in Voyager canoes built by our UrbanTrekkers students around Petty's Island. The half day paddle will end with a celebration BBQ at Wiggins marina.

WHY

There are many challenges facing youth in Malawi including food shortages, lack of educational opportunities, early marriage, and the effects of the HIV/Aids pandemic. UrbanPromise International's ministries seek to offer holistic support to over 3000 children each year through after-school programs, tuition-free schools, and summer camps. Our camps provide spaces for children to engage in creative arts, explore new places, play games, and be mentored by caring staff.

PADDLE WITH US

Looking for some fun this summer? We're always looking for paddlers who would be willing to join our boat, and we hope you're up for the adventure -no prior experience necessary! We ask each paddler to raise a minimum of $500—ask your friends, family, or church to support you in your paddle in the Delaware River!

To learn more about paddling with UPI, email us and we'll be happy to answer any questions!
